SHIPPING INFORMATION

We aim to deliver your plants safely and efficiently. Our shipping times are typically 7–10 working days, although many orders arrive sooner.

  • Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
  • We use Parcel Force/DPD’s next-day tracked delivery services to ensure your plants arrive in great condition.
  • Shipping is simple: one flat charge of £6.99 covers your entire order, no matter how many items you purchase.

Delivery Areas

We deliver to most of the UK, but unfortunately, some areas are outside our delivery zone. These include:

  • The Scottish Islands
  • The Scottish Highlands
  • Ayrshire and Arran
  • Fife
  • Grampian
  • Central Scotland

For clarity, only the areas marked in red on our delivery map fall within our serviceable zone.

DELIVERY EXCLUSIONS

We’re unable to deliver to the following locations due to high shipping costs and frequent delays:

  • Northern Ireland
  • Isle of Man
  • Isle of Wight
  • Scilly Isles
  • Channel Islands

If you place an order with a delivery address in one of these areas, it will be cancelled and fully refunded.

Returns

At Happy Houseplants, we’re dedicated to ensuring your plants arrive happy and healthy. Our returns policy outlines how we handle returns and what you can expect if something goes wrong with your order.

Our 14-Day Return Policy

We offer a 14-day return policy from the date of delivery. To qualify for a return:

  • Your item must be in the same condition as when you received it.
  • It must be returned in its original packaging.

Receiving Your Delivery

Customer Responsibility for Delivery

  • Customers must ensure someone is available to accept the delivery of perishable goods, like plants, on the scheduled delivery date.
  • If you are unable to be home, please arrange for someone else to receive the delivery.

Missed Deliveries

  • We cannot issue refunds or replacements for plants that are returned to us due to missed deliveries, non-collection from courier pick-up points, or lack of safe place instructions.
  • Perishable items are time-sensitive, and delays caused by customer unavailability may affect their condition.

Tracking & Delivery Windows

  • We provide tracking information and estimated delivery windows to help you prepare for your plant’s arrival.
  • If there are issues with the delivery, please contact us and the courier immediately to resolve them.

Returning an Item

If you’ve changed your mind, you’re welcome to return your purchase. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. To ensure your plant arrives back safely:

  • Use a reputable courier service.
  • Send your return for delivery between Monday and Thursday to avoid weekend delays.

Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds will be processed automatically to your original payment method.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Inspect your order on arrival. If it’s damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately at sales@happyhouseplants.co.uk with photos. We’ll work quickly to resolve the issue, arranging collection and processing a replacement or refund.

If a plant is missing from your order, please notify us on the day of delivery. We cannot issue refunds for missing plants reported later.

Important Notes

Plants Repotted After Delivery
We cannot accept returns or exchanges for plants that have been repotted, as repotting can stress plants and introduce pests or diseases that may contaminate our stock.

Natural Variations
Plants are unique and may show variations in shape, colour, and spotting—this is normal and not considered a defect.

Postage Stress & Leaf Yellowing
Minor signs of stress during shipping, such as crushed leaves or yellowing, are normal. Place your plant in a warm, bright spot and water it—it should recover quickly! Older leaves yellowing is also part of a healthy growth cycle.
