Where should I put this plant?
Caladiums like a bright spot with indirect light - any room in the house is fine really as long as the light is good. This plant prefers average room temperatures between 18°C and 24°C (65°F and 75°F). It thrives in higher humidity levels, so consider misting the leaves regularly or placing the plant in a humid environment.
How should I water it?
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Caladium Miss Muffet prefers slightly moist conditions, so be mindful of drying out completely. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
Does it need feeding?
You can use a liquid plant feed a couple of times in the spring/summer months. We sell our own vegan, organic plant food. In winter Caladium may go dormant and slowly die back to tubers, once the leaves are spent, cut them off, store them in a dark, dry space over winter and stop watering until next spring. In ideal environments, Caladium can be kept active year long.
Is this plant suitable if I have pets?
